Kennel

Summer is here and my playlist on Spotify brings melody to our gatherings in the backyard. Always surrounded by love, while the girlfriends get together, couples share stories or just with my loved hubby. And like the love around us, my girls always are there, at least when they allow themselves.

As you may know, Schnecke is my youngest girl. She was adopted a couple of months ago when our garden was still white and she surprisingly loved playing in the snow, which was the theme of the last article I posted. Schnecke still keeps me thinking outside the box and she has been shown how to enjoy summer, especially after mowing the lawn and leaving it wet.

But sometimes she can not go outside the kennel, where she used to live for 3 years. The life outside and its triggers bring her back to her old world. A world where she felt “secure”, where she developed her safe environment, able to deal with a lack of love. Something that used to be worthy, but is not anymore. Her old habits blind her to see new possibilities, such as band-aids, at some time should be ripped out.

My loved peanut, life brings too much more to us! I wish all of us were aware of our kennels and truly willing to be in the kennel and identify what still threatens us. And step by step rewrite our life based on our own choices.

Meanwhile, I won’t give up on bringing you outside, but I will always respect your time.

Come outside and explore life with me!
