Celebration

How time flies, doesn´t it? Briefly, it can turn days, months, years, decades, and more. There are numerous ways to measure our life experiences and perspectives. Some of those become milestones others fall into forgetfulness, consciously or unconsciously.

Let´s take a look at those aware memories, events, and milestones. I have already written about milestones, you can check it out here

Depending on how pleasant or not the event or milestone was, bringing you happiness or pain in your heart, it will determine how you react to it.

Since I moved to Canada, celebrating turned into an important activity in my life. An awareness expression about my achievements and beginnings. Even if the memory is not a pleasant one, (for sure I won´t celebrate it) it is important to bring it into my mind and see how far I had come. A kind act to myself, with the current perspective.

Being an immigrant means new beginnings. While some people look at small things as insignificant, immigrants look at them as a reason to celebrate! Each one, according to their emotional baggage and knowledge will have a kind of challenge while reacting to the new life.

Part of the celebration is to be aware of our core beliefs and how we react to them. Are your core beliefs helpful or limiting?

So, as I always say, it is important to celebrate small achievements and start building good memories as an immigrant. Each step will make it more sure that you will be able to handle your new life!

By the way, my husband and I celebrated one year in our new house yesterday!
